is copyfomo legit?

you should not take a product's own word on whether it is legit, including ours. so this page is built around things you can check yourself, and ends with the risks we cannot take away.

is copyfomo legit? it is a working telegram bot that copies fomo traders into a wallet you own: you can export the private key from /settings at any time, and withdraw as USDC whenever you want, minimum $1, with no copyfomo withdrawal fee. it is independent of fomo. legit is not low risk, though: memecoins can go to zero.

"legit" usually hides three separate questions: can it take my money, does it do what it says, and can i lose money anyway. the answers are no, yes and yes, but check them rather than trust them. here is how.

questionanswerhow to check it
who holds the money?you, in a wallet with an exportable key/settings, my wallets, export
does copyfomo see your key?no, per its docsexport it and open it elsewhere
can you leave any time?yes, USDC withdrawals, min $1/withdraw a small amount first
can you stop it instantly?yes, pause all/settings or /copies
is it part of fomo?no, independentthe docs and site footer say so
are the rules written down?every command and setting, with defaultsthe docs
are its numbers public?yes, on-chain, refreshed hourly/data

who holds your money

this is the question that matters most, because it decides the worst case.

when you start the bot you get two addresses: one for every evm chain, one for solana. you can export the private key at any time from /settings, and copyfomo's docs state it never sees that key. the money is on chain, not in an account on someone's ledger.

one detail worth knowing before it confuses you. on solana, the exported key opens your funds directly. on evm, the key opens your personal wallet, and your balance sits in the copyfomo trading wallet that the personal wallet controls. so if you import the key into a wallet app, it shows the personal address, empty, until you move funds across. the my wallets screen offers to do that before you export, and "move everything to my personal wallet" empties the trading wallet into it, cash, tokens and positions, nothing sold. if you have exported a key before, the fomo key export guide covers the same idea on the fomo side.

does it do what it says

the claim is narrow: copy a fomo trader's buys and sells, at your size, within seconds, on robinhood chain, base, bnb and solana. the easiest check is to try it small. copies are never placed under $3, so you can arm one trader at a small fixed size, watch fills arrive with what your trader spent and the market cap, then withdraw.

a few behaviours that tell you the design is careful rather than aggressive:

  • nothing is armed until a last screen lists everything you chose. the rate is shown on the confirmation screen before anything is armed, and there is no fee on deposits, withdrawals or holding.
  • it checks your trader actually paid for a buy before copying, so tokens pushed into a famous wallet do not trigger copies.
  • it tells you why when a copy is skipped, and always, immediately, when a sell did not go through.
  • it does not guess wallets. /find checks a wallet really is the trader's before saving it, and refuses rather than guesses.
  • it does not rush a loss. a token is only marked "can't be sold" after checks over at least a day, from more than one source, and the position comes back if a route does.

what is public

two pages exist so you do not have to take anything on trust. the docs list every command, every setting with its default and its trade-off, and where the money sits at each step. /data shows what copyfomo earns and where it goes, from on-chain data, refreshed every hour: value locked by chain, protocol fees, referral payouts. if a claim on this page does not match those two, trust them over this article.

how it relates to fomo

copyfomo is not fomo. it is an independent product built on top of the public fomo leaderboard, not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by fomo. if your question is really about the app you are copying from, see is the fomo app legit.

the risks, stated plainly

none of the above protects you from the trading itself. these are the risks that remain:

  • memecoins can go to zero. that is the base case for many of them, not the tail.
  • copying does not reduce risk. it transfers someone else's risk appetite to your account, at your size.
  • your results will differ from the trader's. you enter after them, at a different price, and guards will skip some of their trades. whether copy trading is profitable goes through why.
  • past performance does not predict future results. a strong month on the leaderboard is a selection, not a promise.
  • real funds move without you. that is the point of the product, and also why pause all exists.
  • some tokens become unsellable. liquidity can vanish, and then no tool can sell for you.
  • shared cards are public. a /killcam card you publish is a public page, and shows amounts if you switched them on.
the sizing rule that matters more than any tool: only put in what you can watch go to zero without it changing your week. start with one trader at a small size, and grow only after you have seen a few exits.

if you are still choosing between tools, the fomo copy trading bots compared lays out the options, ours included. if you would rather check copyfomo directly, open @copyfomo_bot, export the key, send a few dollars in and out, and decide from there.

frequently asked

is copyfomo legit?

copyfomo is a working telegram bot, @copyfomo_bot, that copies fomo traders' buys and sells into a wallet you own. you can export that wallet's private key at any time from /settings and withdraw as USDC whenever you want. its docs publish every command and setting. it is independent and not affiliated with fomo. legit does not mean safe from losses: memecoins can go to zero.

is copyfomo safe?

the money sits on chain in a wallet whose private key you can export, and copyfomo's docs say it never sees that key. you can pause everything with one tap and withdraw any time. what it cannot make safe is the trading itself: memecoins are high risk, copying a trader does not reduce that risk, and a trader's past results do not predict yours.

who holds my money on copyfomo?

you do. you get one evm address and one solana address. on solana the exported key opens your funds directly. on evm the key opens your personal wallet, which controls the copyfomo trading wallet where your balance sits, so a wallet app shows the personal one empty until you move funds across. the my wallets screen in /settings does that move for you.

is copyfomo part of fomo?

no. copyfomo is an independent product built on top of the public fomo leaderboard. it is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by fomo. trader names, handles and figures shown in the bot belong to their owners. copyfomo copies traders from that leaderboard, or any fomo profile /find can verify.

can i withdraw from copyfomo at any time?

yes. /withdraw sends cash out as USDC on the chain you pick: base, arbitrum, ethereum, bnb chain, polygon or solana, with a $1 minimum. copyfomo charges nothing on a withdrawal. you can also send a token out as-is, or move everything, cash and positions, to your personal wallet without selling anything.

stop reading. start copying.

pick a trader from the fomo leaderboard, set your size, and the entries and the exits land in your own wallet while you sleep.
